Variety description

The variety is a hybrid between Hydrangea macrophylla and Hydrangea serrata. The lacecap-type inflorescences have a flat corymbose shape with fertile flowers in the center and sterile flowers at the margins. Flower color varies from blue in acidic soil to pink in alkaline soil.

A distinctive feature of the variety is the change in foliage color in mid-summer: in a warm climate, the leaves become creamy-white starting from the stem, and in a cool climate, they become yellowish. The bush reaches a height of 1.2–1.5 m and a width of up to 1.8 m, having an upright, slightly spreading habit. The variety is recommended for USDA hardiness zones 6a–9b.
