Variety description

The variety is a compact ornamental shrub with dense, slightly pubescent, serrated leaves. It belongs to the group of hydrangeas with lacecap-type inflorescences, which have a flat corymbose shape.

The flowers are characterized by a rich color that changes with age to dark tones, including black-purple and blackish. The plant is adapted to USDA zones 6–9 and is considered more winter-hardy compared to Hydrangea macrophylla. Due to its compactness, the variety is suitable for borders and container cultivation.
