Variety description

10 August 2026

The shrub has a compact, rounded shape, reaching a height and width of about 1.2 m. The plant's sturdy stems hold the inflorescences well. The leaves are light green and may acquire yellowish hues in autumn. The variety is characterized by winter hardiness down to -25 °C (USDA zone 5b).

Flowering occurs in June–July, sometimes continuing until September. On acidic soils, the flowers acquire an ultramarine hue, while on neutral or alkaline soils, they become purple or pink. The plant prefers partial shade and moist, humus-rich, drained soils.

The variety can be susceptible to powdery mildew, leaf spot, bacterial wilt, and aphid infestation. To preserve flower buds for the next season, pruning is recommended after the flowering period ends.
