Variety description

The shrub is characterized by a compact habit and slow growth. The plant height is 0.6–0.8 m (up to 1.0 m), while the bush width reaches 0.8–1.2 m, and sometimes 1.5 m. The leaves are oval-shaped with strongly serrated edges, dark green in color, and tend to change color in the autumn period.

Flowering occurs in June–July with corymbose inflorescences 5–8 cm in diameter. The color of the marginal sterile flowers varies from pale pink to sky blue depending on soil acidity. The variety possesses good winter hardiness and better resistance of flower buds to spring frosts compared to Hydrangea macrophylla.
