The variety is a medium-sized shrub reaching a height of about 80 cm in garden conditions. It is assumed that the plant is a form or variety of Hydrangea serrata var. yezoensis, adapted to regions with heavy snowfall.
Flowering of the variety is abundant and prolonged, occurring in June–July. The flowers are double, densely arranged in inflorescences, which tend to take on a spherical shape. The color of the flowers varies from a creamy-white to a pink shade.
The plant prefers partial shade or shade, as well as moisture-retentive, well-drained soils. The variety is used in ornamental gardening, combines well with perennials, and is suitable for planting in wooded areas or along alleys.
