The plant is a deciduous shrub with a height of 0.6 to 1.0 meters, in rare cases reaching 2 meters. A characteristic feature is the narrow lanceolate leaves, reflected in the taxon name.
Inflorescences have a flat corymbose 'lacecap' shape with small fertile flowers in the center and larger sterile ones at the edges, predominantly colored white. The flowering period lasts from late May to August or September.
The plant possesses good frost resistance, withstanding temperatures from -18 to -25 °C. It prefers partial shade and moist, drained soils. Due to its compact size, it is suitable for cultivation in containers and small gardens.
