The variety is a shrub of compact, bushy, upright form with a height of 1 to 2 meters. The plant has deep green, stiff foliage. Mophead-type inflorescences reach 20 cm in diameter.

The color of the flowers varies: from blue or purple in acidic soil to pink in neutral or alkaline soil. The variety withstands frosts down to -24°C, prefers partial shade and moist humus-rich soils. Used for solitary and group plantings, container cultivation, and cut flowers.
