At maturity, the variety reaches 3 meters. The leaves have an elliptical or oblong-ovate shape and a bright green color, standing out for their dense, wrinkled structure. Young shoots are grey-brown in color and covered with lenticels.

Flowering occurs from June to July. The inflorescences are corymbose, reach 20 cm in diameter, and consist of fertile and sterile flowers. The flowers are white, acquiring a pink hue as they fade.

The plant has winter hardiness down to -25 °C. It prefers fertile, moisture-retentive soils and is adapted to growth in sun and partial shade. It is used in landscape design as a solitaire, in group plantings, borders, or informal hedges.
