The plant forms strong, non-lodging stems. The fleshy leaves have a dark gray color with a purple or reddish-violet hue. Small star-shaped flowers are gathered in corymbose inflorescences of a cream-yellow color.
Flowering occurs in the period from August to September. The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness, withstanding temperatures down to -15°C and lower. It prefers sunny areas with good soil drainage.
Used in landscape design for edging, rock gardens, alpine gardens, and container cultivation.
