Variety description

The variety is an evergreen compact shrub with oval dark green glossy leaves and dark purple-red shoots. The plant blooms with small flowers in May-June, and in autumn it may form rounded black fruits.
The plant is characterized by a slow or medium growth rate and tolerates topiary pruning well. The variety is resistant to pests and diseases affecting boxwood, which makes it a popular alternative for use in hedges and borders.
The shrub prefers sunny or semi-shaded areas. It requires moist, well-drained slightly acidic soils and does not tolerate calcareous soils.
