Variety description

The variety is a compact, dense, and squat shrub with a naturally rounded shape. The plant grows slowly, reaching a height and width of 40–70 cm. The evergreen foliage consists of small, glossy, dark green leaves that are elliptical, oval, or spoon-shaped.

Flowering occurs in May–June with small creamy-white flowers. Depending on the source, the variety is characterized either as capable of forming decorative black fruits or as a male specimen without fruits.

The plant is used for creating borders, hedges, group plantings, container gardening, and topiary. The variety is hardy, tolerates pruning well, prefers sun or partial shade, and fertile, well-drained soils. Frost resistance corresponds to USDA zone 7.
