Jupanesti trees are semi-dwarf, reaching an average height of about 3.75 meters. The variety is characterized by regular bearing, which begins in the 4–5th year after planting, and possesses good resistance to frost, pests, and diseases.

The fruits are oval-shaped with a characteristic protruding tip. The shell is thin and easily cracked by hand. The kernel accounts for about 52% of the total nut weight and contains a complex of lipids and protein substances. The ripening period occurs during the first two weeks of September.
