The fruits do not differ externally from a common walnut, but have a burgundy tint to the kernel. The tree is characterized by moderate or rapid growth, reaching a height of 5–6 meters.

The variety possesses resistance to diseases, pests, drought, and frost. In terms of yield and fruit caliber, it is inferior to industrial standards; therefore, it is more often used as a decorative or exotic element in gardens and confectionery production.
