The Batavia type plant forms attractive crisp, dense and uniform green leaves. The bush has an upright shape, which facilitates harvesting, and is characterized by good head weight and size.
The variety is suitable for spring, autumn and winter cultivation and is characterized by a fast growth rate. The plant has high resistance to downy mildew (races 16–28, 30–32), lettuce aphid (biotype 0), lettuce mosaic virus (LMV 1) and tip burn.
The produce retains freshness for a long time after harvesting, which ensures high market quality during transportation. The variety is intended for use in the fresh market and for processing, and is suitable for cultivation in open field and hydroponics.
