The plant belongs to the butterhead lettuce type. It forms rounded, rather dense and voluminous heads. The leaves have a green base color with a pronounced red coloration, which is most visible on the edges and when grown in the cool conditions of late winter. The leaf texture is tender and crisp.
The variety is early-maturing and is intended primarily for winter cultivation in the open field or off-season in protected cultivation. Not recommended for summer cultivation. It possesses good resistance to bolting and tipburn, while it may be susceptible to a number of diseases.
