The plant has an arborescent form and in cultivation is usually shaped as an elegant shrub or a small tree 2 to 3 meters in height. The leaves are oval, shiny, and bright green, acquiring decorative shades in autumn.

Flowering occurs from mid-July until the end of August or September. The inflorescences are conical panicles 10–30 cm in length. The pale pink or pinkish-lilac flowers have characteristic corrugated petals with a texture resembling crepe.

The variety possesses good adaptability to climatic conditions and high resistance to diseases, in particular to powdery mildew. It is used in ornamental gardening as a specimen plant, for creating alleys, group plantings, or container cultivation.
