Variety description

The plant is a dense, multi-stemmed shrub 2.5–4.5 meters in height with upright branches. Young leaves have a burgundy-purple hue, turning dark green with a purple tint as they mature, and turning orange-red in the autumn. The bark of mature specimens exfoliates, revealing a smooth trunk with a mosaic pattern of beige, brown, and green shades.
Flowering occurs on current-year shoots from late July to early October, with a duration of up to 100 days. The flowers are cherry-red, and may have a white or light pink hue when opening. The plant does not produce seeds and possesses resistance to powdery mildew, leaf spot, drought, heat, and urban air pollution.
Abundant flowering requires a sunny location and well-drained, preferably acidic soils. In regions with cold climates, cultivation in containers is recommended, with the possibility of moving them to a protected area during the winter period.
