Variety description

The variety is a compact, densely branched shrub with a height of 150 to 300 cm and a width of about 100–200 cm. The foliage is dark green, glossy, with a reddish hue on new growth, turning orange-red in autumn. The bark is decorative, exfoliating, with a characteristic cinnamon hue.

Flowering lasts from July to September, sometimes until October. Inflorescences are upright, consisting of small, strongly ruffled flowers of purple-violet or violet-pink color. The plant is thermophilic, prefers sunny locations and well-drained soils, and tolerates heat well.

The variety is characterized by resistance to powdery mildew. It belongs to hardiness zone 7 (down to -15 °C), so in regions with severe winters, cultivation in containers with protection during the winter period is recommended.
