The plant forms a dense rounded bush, reaching about 0.5 m in height and width at ten years of age. Leaves are evergreen, aromatic, with a silvery-green or gray-green shade.

Flowers are gathered in dense cylindrical spike-like inflorescences with bright pink bract-wings. Flowering begins in spring; with timely pruning of faded inflorescences, the variety is capable of reblooming during summer and autumn.

The variety is intended for ornamental use in rockeries, borders, and containers. It prefers a sunny location and well-drained soils ranging from acidic to neutral; it requires moderate pruning without affecting the lignified parts.
