The variety belongs to the fiber flax group and is characterized as early-maturing. Studies confirm consistently high yields of dry stems, as well as total and long fiber.

Morphologically, the variety is identified by the purple color of the flower corolla. The variety is used in European comparative trials and in genetic research, including analysis using AFLP markers.
