The variety belongs to the tetraploid type and is characterized by mid-early flowering time. It possesses high dry matter productivity in spring and autumn sowings, as well as resistance to rust. The nutritional value and digestibility of the fodder correspond to the characteristics of tetraploid varieties of this crop.

The plant is used in a short-rotation cycle (1–2 years) for harvesting green mass, silage, or haylage, and also as an intermediate stubble crop. A biological feature of the variety is its ability to act as a host for certain types of parasitic nematodes, which is taken into account when planning crop rotation.
