The variety has a prostrate growth habit and is used as a forage crop for establishing pastures. Scientific trials have revealed that this variety is highly susceptible to ryegrass mosaic virus.

In physiological studies, the variety demonstrates sensitivity to aluminum in the soil. It is also noted for its reduced efficiency of magnesium uptake compared to other ryegrass varieties, which was studied in the context of predisposition to grass tetany.
