The Tiara variety was used as a parent form, in particular as a maternal component, in the creation of interspecific hybrids, including the Czech festulolium variety Felina.
In the scientific literature of the 1970s–1980s, the variety appeared in comparative studies of forage crop yields and in research on the resistance analysis of Italian ryegrass to pests, such as the frit fly.
