The variety is classified as a fast-growing form of Italian ryegrass. In archival documents and variety testing materials, the variety is mentioned as breeding material of Dutch origin.

Information about the variety is based on the results of forage quality studies conducted in the 1970s. These reports analyzed indicators of calcium solubility and overall crop productivity, however, detailed agronomic characteristics are currently unavailable.
