The variety is a tetraploid, which ensures an increased sugar content in the biomass, high nutritional value, and improved digestibility for livestock. Its agronomic characteristics note later maturity dates compared to a number of other varieties.

The plant is used in agricultural programs where its yield and stand longevity are evaluated under various environmental conditions. The variety is characterized by the susceptibility to rust typical for the species.
