The variety was bred by specialists of the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Zagreb based on local Croatian primitive plant forms. It belongs to the category of sweet lupin, which ensures the suitability of the crop for livestock farming and the production of green mass and seeds due to a reduced level of alkaloids.

In literature, the variety is characterized as early-maturing.
