This rootstock is intended for use as an interstock in pomiculture. It is characterized by very good compatibility with scions, where no excessive tissue overgrowth is observed in the graft union zone.

In agronomic studies, B 469 is classified as one of the most dwarfing rootstocks. Despite its high winter hardiness and compatibility, the material has not gained wide commercial distribution, as trees on this rootstock demonstrated limited productivity in a number of trials.
