Husmoder is a winter Scandinavian variety. The tree is vigorous, long-lived, with high winter hardiness. The fruits are large, juicy, with a greenish color and a red blush. The flesh is whitish, the taste is sour. The variety is intended primarily for culinary processing.

Bellefleur de France in modern pomological literature is most often considered a synonym for the old French variety Mère de Ménage. It is a vigorous tree with a spreading crown, producing large round or conical fruits. The skin is yellow with a striped blush, the flesh is firm, sweet-and-sour with astringency.
