The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and forms a wide, spreading crown. The fruits are large, round-conical or ribbed in shape, with a firm yellow-green skin, often having characteristic russeting and an orange-red blush. The flesh is yellowish-white, juicy, with a pronounced aroma and a high vitamin C content.

The variety is triploid and requires pollinator varieties for fruit set. Yield is often biennial, and the onset of bearing can be late. Fruits are prone to dropping when ripe, but have excellent keeping quality, retaining consumer properties until April.

The plant has good resistance to scab, canker, and fire blight. However, the variety is sensitive to frost, which can cause fruit cracking, as well as to the development of core rot.
