The variety was discovered around 1850 in Denmark as a wild seedling. The tree is characterized by weak growth vigor, forms a wide, dense crown with slightly drooping branches, and reaches 4–6 meters in height. The variety is self-incompatible and requires pollinators such as Cox Orange, Ingrid Marie, Filippa, or Gråsten.
The fruits are medium-sized and have an ovoid or conical shape. Upon ripening, the skin changes from a primary green color to light yellow, often with a brownish-red blush. The white flesh of the fruit is juicy and soft, with a pleasant spicy aroma. The variety belongs to the late-maturing category; harvesting begins in October.
The plant possesses high resistance to wind, and the fruits hold firmly to the branches. The harvested crop stores well, maintaining its quality until February. The variety is considered a dessert apple and is suitable for fresh consumption as well as culinary processing.
