The variety has a long history, with the first mention dating back to 1669, although its exact place of origin remains a subject of discussion. Due to its wide distribution, the variety has received many regional names, among which is Blumen Calvill.

The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and longevity, forming a wide, spreading crown. The variety is triploid, which must be taken into account when selecting pollinators. The fruits are summer or late-summer, with harvest maturity occurring from late August to mid-September.

The fruits are valued for their juicy, crisp flesh with a harmonious combination of sweetness and acidity, as well as for their intense aroma. The variety is considered a high-quality dessert apple, suitable for processing into juices and distillates, but may be less convenient for professional intensive horticulture due to its growth habits and late entry into bearing.
