The variety is triploid and is distinguished by very vigorous growth and longevity. It enters fruiting late, is prone to biennial bearing, and requires cross-pollination with other varieties. The tree prefers fertile and well-drained soils; it does not tolerate heavy or waterlogged soils well.
Fruits are medium, large, or very large in size, round-flat in shape. The flesh is creamy-white, loose, moderately dry, possesses a characteristic nutty aroma and a sweet-and-sour taste. The variety is considered late-autumn or winter, suitable for fresh consumption, baking, and processing.
The plant possesses resistance to scab, but is susceptible to powdery mildew and canker, especially when grown on unfavorable soils.
