The variety originated in 1870 in Central Jutland, Denmark. Fruits reach harvest maturity in the first half of September, and consumption maturity in September–October. The variety exhibits high resistance to scab, powdery mildew, and apple tree canker, while having average yield.

Fruits are of medium size, oblong-conical in shape, and yellow in color with an orange blush. The white flesh is characterized by juiciness, a pronounced aroma, moderate acidity, and high sugar content. The variety is primarily preserved in genetic resource collections.
