The BRAEBURN 78 object was considered as a candidate for the right to a breeding achievement; however, registration was denied following technical examinations. It was determined that the declared candidate does not possess sufficient distinctness from existing varieties, in particular from Royal Braeburn and X9466.

During the examinations, it was recorded that the fruits of BRAEBURN 78, according to morphological characteristics, including coloration, presence of stripes, ripening periods, and shape, are practically identical to the Royal Braeburn variety. No significant differences that would allow classifying it as a separate breeding variety were identified.
