The fruits are round-conical in shape with five pronounced ribs. When ripe, the skin is bright blood-red, sometimes with a purplish-black hue. The flesh is loose, juicy, fine-grained, with a sweet-and-sour taste and a strong characteristic aroma.
The tree is vigorous with a wide, flat-rounded crown. Harvest maturity occurs in late August or September; fruits can be stored until December. The variety is demanding in terms of growing conditions and is characterized by early flowering, susceptibility to diseases and pests, as well as unstable yield.
