The variety is a local landrace and not the result of directed modern breeding. Traditionally, trees of this variety are grown as high-stem specimens in meadow orchards.

The fruits belong to the group of sweet apples without pronounced acidity. They are suitable for fresh consumption, drying, and the preparation of sauces and traditional dishes based on apples and potatoes.

The variety possesses high resistance and hardiness. At present, the main focus is on the conservation of this genetic resource within the framework of ecological programs to support meadow fruit growing.
