The variety is a limb mutation of the Caudle apple, known under the brand name Cameo. Unlike the base variety, which has a striped coloration, Caured fruits are classified as a blushed mutation with increased intensity of the red color.

The main economic qualities of the variety, including flesh texture, sugar-acid balance, and fruit keeping quality, are identical to the characteristics of the original Cameo variety. Specific agronomic data regarding tree growth and disease resistance are absent in publications.
