The variety belongs to the late-maturing group with a harvest period in the first ten days of November. The tree is distinguished by very late flowering and average yield, showing low to medium sensitivity to fungal diseases.

The fruits are classified as sweet, containing about 1.82 g/l of acidity and 0.99 g/l of phenolic compounds. The variety is autochthonous to the Asturias region and is preserved in genetic diversity collections, serving as a table apple with suitability for cider making.
