The variety is a clonal selection of Fuji, derived from the cross of Red Delicious and Ralls Janet. The fruits are characterized by intense skin coloration. The variety is classified as late-winter and is intended for dessert use.

Naga Fu 2 fruits possess juicy flesh and a sweet taste. At the same time, they may be less firm compared to other clones of the Fuji group, and the fruit firmness indicators tend to decrease rapidly during the harvest period.
