The variety is a chance seedling discovered in the province of Cuneo, Piedmont. The tree is characterized by high vigor. Flowering occurs in the first half of April; harvest takes place in the second ten-day period of October.

Fruits are of medium size, weighing about 150 g, and have a flat or flattened shape. The skin is thin, rough, yellow-green in color with bronze or orange shades. The flesh is whitish-cream, of a rather coarse texture, and the taste is sweet-sour and aromatic.

The variety possesses good natural resistance to scab, which makes it suitable for organic cultivation. It is used for fresh consumption and various types of culinary processing, in particular for baking.
