The tree is vigorous, with a spreading crown and characteristic outgrowths at the base of the branches. Fruits are medium or above medium in size, round or conical in shape. The skin is smooth, becoming bright golden-yellow when ripe, sometimes with speckles. The flesh is yellowish, tender, juicy, with a spicy sweet taste and honey notes.

The variety is early-bearing, self-fertile, and is a good pollinator for other apple trees. The harvest is gathered in September – mid-October. The fruits have universal use, suitable for dessert consumption and cider production due to high sugar content. They store well in refrigerated conditions for up to 2–4 months.

The variety shows relative resistance to cedar apple rust and fire blight, but is susceptible to bitter pit and ring rot. Trees are prone to fruit overloading, which can lead to biennial bearing, therefore requiring fruit thinning.
