The fruits are medium to large in size and range in shape from round to barrel-shaped. The skin color is green with a red striped blush covering almost the entire surface, and there may be some russeting. The flesh is firm, fine-textured, and juicy; the taste varies from tart to sweet-and-sour.

The variety is late-maturing: harvesting is carried out in October, and consumption maturity is reached by December. The fruits can be stored until February, although they are prone to skin darkening during storage. The tree is not self-fertile and requires the presence of pollinator varieties such as Sterappel or Bloemeezoet.
