The variety is a mutation of the Eve’s Delight apple cultivar obtained through selection. In publications, it is often found under the name Stark Jumbo, as it was introduced to the market by the Stark Bro’s company.

The fruits are distinguished by their very large size and bright red coloration. The fruit flesh is satin-white with a greenish tint and possesses a sweet and sour taste. In terms of maturity, the variety belongs to the early autumn group; the fruits are ready for harvest in early October.
