The variety was obtained at the Institute of Horticulture of the NAAS of Ukraine by crossing the Idared variety with hybrid form X-2034, which carries the Vf gene from Malus floribunda 821. The tree is of moderate vigor and forms a wide-rounded crown of medium density.

The variety is immune to scab and possesses resistance to powdery mildew. It enters the fruiting stage on semi-dwarfing rootstocks in the 3rd–4th year. The type of fruiting is mixed; yields are high and regular.

The fruits are distinguished by stable commercial qualities, creamy, firm, juicy flesh, and a sweet-and-sour taste. The variety is suitable for long-term storage and is recommended for commercial horticulture.
