The tree is noted for its longevity, forms a broad, large crown with spreading branches, and comes into bearing late. The variety is triploid, produces non-viable pollen, and requires cross-pollination with other apple varieties.

The fruits are medium to large in size and have a flat-round or conical shape. The skin is smooth, straw-yellow at harvest, and later acquires a golden hue and a possible reddish blush. The variety is suitable for fresh consumption, culinary use, baking, and processing into juice.

The plant possesses relative resistance to scab and woolly aphid but is sensitive to frost during periods of excess moisture. High susceptibility to bitter pit is noted, especially on light sandy soils. The fruits hold firmly on the tree but may drop during severe drought.
