The tree is vigorous, forming a broad crown, with growth habit changing from vigorous in youth to more moderate. The variety is triploid and does not act as a pollinator for other plants. Trees are highly resistant to scab but prone to spotting and biennial bearing, preferring warm locations with high-quality soils.

Fruits are large or very large, flattened in shape. The skin is leathery, green, turning yellowish during storage, often covered with heavy russeting; a reddish tinge is possible on the sunny side. The flesh is sweet-sour, less acidic than that of the Boskoop variety.

Fruit ripening occurs in October, with consumption maturity reached from November. Fruits can be stored until March, gradually acquiring a loose and dry texture. The variety is versatile, suitable for fresh consumption, culinary use, and juice production.
