The variety is a branch mutation (sport) of the Starking variety. The fruits are characterized by a medium ripening period, maturing a few days earlier than the parent variety. The taste quality and flesh structure correspond to the Delicious group.

The tree growth type is standard (non-spur), and the final height and habit depend on the choice of rootstock, such as M7, M26, or M9. The variety is suitable for both fresh consumption and processing.

During storage in a controlled atmosphere, the variety shows varying degrees of susceptibility to physiological disorders, such as core browning or superficial scald, which requires consideration of agrotechnical conditions.
