The variety is a chance seedling. The tree is vigorous, forming a broad, often flat or compact crown. It possesses high winter hardiness and is resistant to scab and powdery mildew, although on heavy or waterlogged soils it may be susceptible to fruit tree canker.
Fruits are large or very large, with a flat or elongated shape. The skin is smooth, can be oily, and is colored greenish-yellow with red stripes, the intensity of which increases in the sun. Harvest maturity occurs in October; fruits store until March.
The flesh is light, firm, fine-celled, and very juicy, with a sweet-and-sour taste. The variety is intended for home processing, culinary use, and juice production.
