The HL 648 variety, also known as Karli, is a columnar hybrid with medium to large-sized fruits. The fruit skin is smooth, of medium thickness, without bloom or russeting. The flesh has a greenish hue, a firm or medium consistency, and a sweet-and-sour taste.

The tree is characterized as medium-sized, vigorous, and productive. Due to the columnar crown shape, the variety is suitable for cultivation in small gardens, on terraces, or balconies and requires minimal pruning. In breeding, the variety was obtained from a cross between Slendera and Braeburn.
