The variety is intended for fresh consumption, culinary processing, drying, and wine production. It is a good pollinator for other varieties, in particular the «Ontario» variety.

The fruits are suitable for storage provided they are kept in a humid cellar. The variety is recommended for planting in regions at an altitude of up to 450 meters above sea level and is often included in lists of historical varieties for functional agricultural plantings.
